Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc and will naturally tarnish when exposed to oxygen. Some people like the patina of tarnished brass and the tarnish is actually a protective layer for the brash, but you can achieve the shine of the new brass in these simple steps.
WHAT YOU NEED:
– Brass polish
– Cotton wool or a rag
– Apply brass polish to soft clean cloth and buff into the surface of the brass piece until it’s all covered.
– Use a new clean cloth or cotton wool portion to remove the remaining cleaner and buff to shine.
